Fernando Alonso is deputy director of the Fundacion Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano (FNPI). He is a business administrator with graduate studies in finance and journalism. He is the former director of the Foundation for Press Freedom in Colombia. For four years, he worked as business editor of Semana, the most important magazine in Colombia. In the past three years, he has managed a capacity-building project for the Foundation for a New Iberian-American Journalism.
