Joshua Friedman

Joshua Friedman has been at the Journalism School since 1992, full-time or as an adjunct. Most recently he’s been Director, International Programs and Director, Cabot Prizes. He’s active with the Committee to Protect Journalists, a member of the executive committee and a former chair. He’s worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer and Newsday, where he won the 1985 Pulitzer for International Reporting for work in Africa. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica. He has a BA from Rutgers, MS from Columbia ‘68 and did graduate studies at University of Chicago.
