Margaret Wolf Freivogel is founding editor of the St. Louis Beacon, an online-only, non-profit regional news site. Previously, she worked for 34 years at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as a reporter, assistant Washington bureau chief and assistant managing editor. She’s a past president of Journalism and Women Symposium, a national organization of women journalists, and has won numerous awards, including the National Press Club Washington Correspondent’s Award and the American Bar Association Gavel Award.
