Stewart joined the Open Society Media Program in 2000, and is now Senior Program Manager, developing projects in free expression globally. Stewart holds a Masters Degree in International Relations from Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs. He has worked for the Committee to Protect Journalists in New York, and as a journalist with CNNfn and Bloomberg Television. He also worked in Russia for eight years, supporting student exchanges and NGO development projects. He is fluent in Russian.
